Welcome to The Knotfinder! I’m Nellie Riddle and I’m a certified massage therapist (CMT). I graduated from IPSB (International Professional School of Bodywork) and I specialize in Neuromuscular Therapy (Trigger Point Therapy) and Sports Massage. I combine these techniques depending on the client’s needs so every massage is unique in its own way. I love working with clients and helping them with chronic issues and to be able to provide balance in their lives by giving them information on self-care and stretches that will increase their mobility. When I’m not massaging, I go surfing, hiking, and travel.
- NMT (Neuromuscular Therapy) – Neuromuscular Therapy is finding trigger points within the muscle fibers that cause referral pain, and once found, pressure is used to deactivate these points. Trigger points are usually created by stress of a constant contraction of the muscle which causes tiny knots that make chronic like symptoms such as arthritis, bursitis, sciatica, migraines, and headaches.
- Sports Massage – Sports massage is a type of bodywork that is formed for athletes or those everyday gym rats. This work uses various techniques to help prevent injuries as well as restore the body from any heavy activity or workouts and recover. I use such methods as A.R.T. (Active Relief Technique), P.N.F. (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) stretches and MyoFascial Release.
- Chair Massage – Chair massages are seated massages that usually lasts for about 15 to 30 minutes where I focus more on the back, shoulders, arms and neck areas of the body. This massage is mobile where I can go to a business, offices or events.
